下沙镇原为福建省南平市邵武市辖镇，位于市境东部，2026年5月与晒口街道并置为沙溪街道，镇级建制就此撤销。[1][2]

镇域面积93.37平方千米，东部与建阳市麻沙镇为邻，西边是城郊镇，北面毗邻水北镇，南面与原晒口街道相连。原辖下沙、屯上、胡书、分站、洛田、杨源六个行政村，今均属沙溪街道。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这一带属仁泽乡。[1] 建国之初此地归第二区管辖，1954年划入第九区，1956年又回到第二区，1958年则成为水北人民公社辖下的一个生产大队。[3] 1961年，胡书人民公社在书兰上设立机关，统辖八个大队；1971年该社撤销，大队分拨给水北与吴家塘两个公社，1976年才重新恢复。[3]

1979年初，公社机关移驻屯上，名称随之变为屯上公社；自1984年起，乡建制称屯上乡。[3] 1994年11月，屯上乡被取消，原地域改由新设的下沙镇管辖，镇政府安放在下沙。[2]

福建省人民政府于2026年3月31日作出「闽政文〔2026〕94号」批复，同意撤销下沙镇，设立街道的事宜交由邵武市办理。[6] 沙溪街道则由原晒口街道与下沙镇的辖区合并而来，于2026年5月组建，办事处设在下沙村。[2]

地理环境[edit]

镇境在邵武市东部，距市府约12公里。[4] 村庄多散布于山岭之间，林业和毛竹是村民的主要生产门类。[4][5]
