寺前村位于忠信镇中部，距镇驻地约7公里，周边有半源、渔沧、金凤、虎头山等村。村名与古寺有关：宋代尚书李珪创建了李山寺，村庄建在寺址之前。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代隶忠信里，民国归游村乡，1952年改为第十区寺前乡，1956年归仙阳区寺前乡。1958年9月隶忠信公社，设寺前生产大队；1961年至1966年间，本村一度分属湖山、游枫两个公社。1984年起改为村民委员会建制，1993年划归忠信镇。[1]
