水南村是福建省南平市顺昌县双溪街道下辖的行政村，位于富屯溪与金溪汇合处的南岸，在县城南面，村名由此而来。村辖6个自然村，村内有宋代的龙头岩摩崖石刻，为县级文物保护单位。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村落在金溪与富屯溪的汇合处，位于县城南面，故名水南。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时此地称水南郡。1946年改称水南堡，隶双溪镇。1952年成为水南乡，属第一区。1959年设水南大队，归上游公社。1961年划入城关公社，1981年改属水南公社。1984年改设水南村村民委员会，隶水南镇。2006年5月，水南与双溪两镇合为双溪街道，村随之归入。[1]

地理与产业[edit]

村部所在的城南路是村中主要街道，316国道经过村境，214省道与上海至福州高速公路的顺昌支线也穿过村里的五里亭自然村。[1]

村中林木以杉木与毛竹为主，主要产品为竹凉席与建筑用胶合模板。境内矿产有花岗岩、硫铁矿与铅锌矿。[1]

文化旅游[edit]

龙头岩摩崖石刻位于本村，时代为宋代，已公布为县级文物保护单位。村中的景点名胜还有龙头岩与云峰寺。[1][2]
