大洲社区位于闽江上游的大洲岛上，距南平市区十八公里，是水东街道的一个社区。社区名称取自所在的大洲岛。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1646年初，郑成功在此最早操练水师。上世纪五十年代，岛上建起华东地区规模最大的大洲贮木场，即福建省大洲贮木场。[1][2]

1982年3月，社区设立大洲居委会，为一场一居的格局；2000年1月1日，社区从贮木场剥离，划归水东街道，改设为大洲社区居民委员会。[1][2]
