西洋村是福建省漳州市漳浦县赤土乡南部的行政村，距乡政府所在地约5公里。县道溪寨线从村境经过，村北为下坂村，南为水头村，东为溪东村，西为万安村。[1][2]

村名来自村西的一大片平坦良田，本地方言称「洋」。村中8个自然村为下芹、东方、桥仔头、下针、井上、楼仔陆、门口埕与下洋。[1][2]

政区沿革[edit]

清代，此地属七都下洋（霞洋）保。民国29年为四股乡西洋保，新中国初期属第八区门口埕乡。西洋大队于1961年7月划归赤土公社；1984年9月，大队改称西洋村。[2]

姓氏宗族[edit]

下洋以林、朱二姓为主，林姓祖先来自路下。门口埕为陈姓聚居，祖先来自深土镇塘头，属「圣王派」。东方以王、杨二姓为主，井上为王姓聚居，楼仔陆为陆姓聚居。下针为林姓聚居，桥仔头为陈姓聚居。[2]

经济[edit]

村内水田、旱地和山地面积较大，水稻、花生、蔬菜、花卉及荔枝、龙眼等是主要作物。改革开放以来，花卉与养殖成为村民的主要收入来源，花卉品种有20多种。[2]

风俗[edit]

村民大部分信奉基督教，村内有教堂一所。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

赤土窑址是南宋至元代的瓷窑遗址，位于本村与下宫村交界处，为县级文物保护单位。[2]
