西岭村在东泗乡西南部，靠近玳瑁山山麓和南溪河畔，西南与漳浦县官浔镇相接。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子位于炮台山西侧。炮台山与玳瑁山相连，山岭绵延，村名取于此。[1]

这一带民国时期归漳浦县官浔镇西岭保，新中国成立初期改属漳浦县第三区西岭乡。1957年随所在地划入海澄县；1959年成了莲花公社西岭大队，1960年两县并一，改称龙海县东泗公社西岭大队。1984年定为东泗乡西岭村，1993年为龙海市东泗乡西岭村委会。[1]

村中何氏尊何添沮为上宗始祖。何添沮为避兵役，由晋江清源来到漳浦县官浔镇。十二世的何良禄在清代康熙年间迁往西山自然村，此后子孙在当地繁衍，至今逾三百年。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中的威灵宫和玄济宫，分别于1999年和2000年建成，由群众捐资兴建。1984年，村里建成西岭大桥。[1]

荣誉[edit]

西岭村在2003年至2004年间获得龙海市第十一届文明村的称号。2019年12月，村子入选国家林业和草原局公布的第二批国家森林乡村名单。2024年9月，西岭村入选漳州市「一村一品」专业村名单，主攻毛豆。[1]
