西洋村在福建省漳州市龙文区朝阳街道西部，靠近漳州机场，东与书厅村相邻，南与桥头村相连。全村辖西洋、崎岭、院前、青山4个自然村。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村民的开基祖冯伯举由江西迁入漳州，明初分居漳州东门外的西洋社定居，此后繁衍。[1]

1958年前后，村子改为生产大队，隶属步文公社；1984年起归步文乡，1992年步文乡改为镇。1997年龙文区设立后，村委会划归朝阳镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

西洋大庙的创建，据新立碑文所记，在明万历二十二年（1594年），距今约四百年。[1]

经济[edit]

村里以农业为主，种植水稻、甘蔗、荔枝和龙眼。1990年，村里将低洼田地改建为鱼塘，形成近600亩鱼塘。[1]
