东田镇位于福建省泉州市南安市西南部，离市区约12千米，是一个以山地为主的镇，下辖16个行政村，面积176平方千米。[1]镇域北面与仑苍镇相接，西面紧邻英都镇，南面与官桥镇及厦门市同安区相连。[2]境内的南坑窑址是宋元时期的古瓷窑遗址，2006年被公布为全国重点文物保护单位。[7][8]

历史沿革[edit]

东田一带在晋代已有中原移民沿溪流迁入，开垦荒地定居。宋代这里分属归善乡经善里和金鸡乡崇善里，元、明、清时期隶属二十八都与二十九都。[4]

东田的得名，据博雅地名网的说法与唐末黄巢义军入闽的传说有关：黄巢驻于凤巢，登上芹山，望见东面溪畔的田园，感叹此地是兵家必争之地，后人便以东田为名。另有一说是以芹山东侧的良田取称。[2]

民国年间设东田、烟山两保，1941年合并为东田乡，当时还包括苦垄、三角坑等乡外的村庄。1949年后这里设第二区，治所在东田镇；1953年划出英都、翔云两地，此后区名一度改动，1965年撤区后又经公社、乡的几番变化，到1991年才称镇。[4]关于设镇的年份，两个来源有出入：百度百科作1990年建镇，[6]博雅地名网的沿革写作1991年。[4]

地理环境[edit]

东田属内陆山区，群山起伏。主峰芹山海拔1095.4米，是南安市第二高峰。[3]东田溪（博雅地名网称兰溪）发源于芹山山脉，贯穿全境后注入西溪，全长28公里。[3]

境内蕴藏优质高岭土和锰等矿藏。[3]

环保系统给东田镇颁了「2010—2011年度国家级生态乡镇」的称号，时间是2012年12月。[2]

全镇登记在册的户籍居民为56324人，统计年份为2019年末。[6]

名胜古迹[edit]

南坑窑址分为南坑窑址群与寮仔窑址群两部分，分布在南坑村与蓝溪村一带，1977年被发现，以宋元窑址为主，少数延续到明代。[7][9]

2006年，国家把南坑窑址列为全国重点文物保护单位，它也被归入屈斗宫德化窑遗址之下。[7][8]出土的不少瓷器被确认为外销瓷品种。[9]

高山瓷窑址在岐山村，年代属宋至清，列为泉州市文物保护单位。东田村境内的后垅山窑址属宋代遗存，同样列为泉州市文物保护单位。[11][12]

1977年发现的寮仔窑遗址，在蓝溪村寮仔山一带，福建省博物院等单位于2003年联合进行了发掘，清理出一座斜坡式龙窑，窑炉残长43.3米。[13]

南安市黄巢水利风景区位于山西村，景区内的黄巢山海拔1095米，因唐末黄巢在此屯兵扎营而得名。景区是一条约3公里长的峡谷，沿途有奇石与绿潭，峡谷深处有分三层的瀑布群。[5][10]

2019年6月，福建省人民政府把东田镇列入「第六批福建省历史文化名镇名村」。[2]
