龙西村位于英林镇西南部，在草山北侧，距镇政府驻地约1.5公里，有简易公路连接英林与伍堡。村名来历：1958年9月，公社化之后组建生产大队，以所辖两个较大自然村的首字合称“龙西”，此名沿用至今。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明、清时属十一都，1944年（民国33年）为英林镇龙山保的一部分。此后曾归金井区的英林乡，1961年改为英林公社的龙西大队；1984年起称英林镇龙西村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村内有花岗岩矿，并有服装加工厂、石板材加工厂，以及纺织服装和拉链厂。农业以地瓜、花生、玉米和蔬菜为主。[2]
