桂林村是陈埭镇的行政村，位于镇政府驻地北面约3公里，西邻泉州晋江机场，东临泉州湾，下辖后田前、后祠、对三房三个自然村。[1][2]

名称由来[edit]

桂林古称“桂林里”，村址在后祠一带。明朝初期，西滨一支的始祖带领族人居于陈江的桂林里。因入居时值八月（八月属桂）且为林姓，故名桂林。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期属大同乡。1957年归池店区管辖。1961年，桂林与坊脚分开，坊脚自成大队。1984年，桂林大队改称桂林村委会。1997年，西霞美从桂林分出，自成大队。[2]

经济与物产[edit]

村内以运动鞋生产和水稻种植为主，东临泉州湾，有大片滩涂，适合养殖蛏苗，海产品养殖也有发展。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2007年，晋江市授予桂林村「敬老模范村」称号。2020年至2022年间，村庄三次列入淘宝村名单。[1][2]
