龙坑社区位于东关镇，由龙坑管理区与小湖洋管理区合并组建，居民多以茶果种植为业。社区的前身与华侨茶果场有关，1998年撤场并镇后设立居民委员会，2003年改设社区居委会。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

地名的来历：群山之间的山脉形如一条卧龙，两侧多沟坑，故称龙坑。[1][3]

1917年，一位马来西亚华侨集资组建华兴公司，租下这片荒山，1949年前后开始种茶。[1][4]

1960年前后，省政府安置了一部分归侨，在北硿华侨茶果场之下设立龙坑管理区。这一农场于1998年撤销并镇，此地设龙坑居民委员会。[1][2]

2003年11月6日起，此处改称龙坑社区居委会，其辖区为原农场的龙坑、小湖洋两个管理区。[2]
