龙坪村位于镇域北部山区，距镇区约10千米，通往镇区的道路只有一条。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村旧称刈草坪。地表一层可以耕作，底下是黏性很强的白泥，晒干后坚硬，可以烧瓦，村民过去就地取土烧瓦盖房，后人遂改称龙坪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代已设此地，后属积德乡新康里，又名刈草坪。新中国成立后归龙地大队；1962年分出成立龙坪大队；此后先后改为西坪乡、西坪镇的村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，本村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
