地名由来[edit]

村初称析水，因溪水至此分流：北水入蓝溪，南水归九龙江。后称碧水，清代以后改称赤水。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时为析水保，明代为碧水保，清代属崇信里积德乡赤水保。民国时期归珠洋区管辖，新中国成立后属龙涓区。1961年划归西坪公社赤水大队，1984年起属西坪镇赤水村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，本村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
