上西村位于蓬莱镇西南部，距镇区约8千米，村域面积2.05平方千米。[1]

地名与历史[edit]

村内溪流由东向西流去，村名由此而来。[2]

明清时属金田乡兴一里，民国后归尚卿乡管辖；1958年划入蓬莱公社，1979年析出为独立大队，1984年定名为上西村。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

九峰岩位于村内大丘包，为清代古建筑，县级文物保护单位。九峰岩在三笏山第三秀峰的山麓，县政府网站称其始建于明代永乐年间。[4][5][6]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，村庄经福建省农业农村厅认定，列入「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2020年12月，被认定为「2020年泉州市中级版绿盈乡村」；2022年1月，被认定为「安溪县2020—2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
