坪山社区是双阳街道下辖的社区，位于街道驻地南面约1公里处，三面环山[2]。社区名称是村民建居于山麓平坦之处，取谐音而得[1]。早年社区一带曾因闽南话谐音被称为许店村[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

坪山原属晋江县，明清时属四十一都，民国时期属晋江县河市区，解放初属晋江县三区团结乡[2]。1960年双阳华侨农场建成后，此处设为鹏山管理区，辖许店归侨聚居点及若干自然村[2]。1998年双阳建镇时析出为单独的村，2005年改为坪山社区[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

社区内有古镇宫，博雅地名网载原有古庙宇一座[2]。辖区南面的鹏山岭古石阶路，早年是往来晋北与泉州两地的必经之路，沿途有清代建的石牌坊和明隆庆年间建的半岭观音庙[2]。岭顶的运使宫相传与陈三五娘故事中陈三之兄有关，现尚存遗址；西侧的青阳室，就是列入泉州文物保护名录的陈三书房[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，社区被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生社区」[1]。2024年12月，社区上榜「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单[1]。
