东星社区位于泉州市丰泽区城东街道东南部，与东海街道接壤，北面可通火车站。[1][2]社区原为东星村，2003年改设社区，辖区面积约3.2平方千米，在城东街道的社区中面积较大。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

清代此地属晋江县后渚铺，民国时期改归晋江县法石镇。[2]1950年设东星乡，1956年并入东海宝山乡，1958年成为东海公社的东星大队；1961年划归城东公社，1984年改称城东乡东星村。[2]2003年村改社区，设东星社区居委会。[1][2]社区名称取“星星之火可以燎原”之意，此地原属东海宝山乡。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

据2025年12月丰泽区人民政府公布的情况，社区内有原村民3244人，外来人口逾4000人，辖内有22家企事业单位。[1]产业以树脂工艺、机械配件、服装和纺织为主，另有若干省级高新科技企业，涉及电子、电机与陶粒等行业，产品销往欧美、中东和东南亚三十多个国家和地区。[3][4]

名胜古迹[edit]

社区留存清代晚期及民国时期的古民居十余处，砖雕、石雕和木雕较多；村中三棵古榕树已列入市园林保护，属二级保护植物，树龄百年以上。[3]大坪山森林公园位于境内，山顶立有郑成功铜像，登高可俯瞰泉州城区。[3]泉州市革命烈士纪念碑建于1996年，列为近现代重要史迹，属市级文物保护单位，位于社区。[2]
