赤水村位于上京镇东南部，下辖4个自然村，距县城38公里。[2]

2022年12月，本村被命名为福建省卫生村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子坐落在红壤高地上，泉水偏冷、土地贫瘦，因而得名赤水。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子南与武陵乡交界，西面与漳平市的葛厝坑、茅坂场两个自然村为邻，东面连接上岩村，北边与溪口村相邻。海拔约830米。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

本村原归漳平县聚贤里。明嘉靖十四年（1535年）大田设县后划入大田，清代改隶永春州的聚贤里。民国期间归上京乡管辖；1950年2月，改属大田县第八区。[1]

1957年撤区后，本村仍归上京乡；1958年改归桃源公社，1961年改归上京公社。1984年改制后，本村称上京镇赤水村村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月，把本村评为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2024年7月，本村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
