龙坑村位于石牌镇南部。村子的东侧与小湖村相接，南侧连着武陵乡睦坪村，西侧与上京镇上洋村为邻，北侧紧挨下洋村。[1]

2011年，全村共有人口1075人，249户，分为8个村民小组。[2]

地名由来[edit]

村庄地处坑垅之中，周边山脉起伏，状如游龙，村名因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子最早称龙山，民国年间改称龙坑。明清时属坊都，民国29年归大田第一区，民国38年改隶均溪镇。到1956年前它一直属武陵区；1957年转入小湖乡，1958年归小湖公社，1969年改入红湖公社。[1]

1984年乡制恢复后此村列入石牌乡；1997年改制设镇，村委会改称石牌镇龙坑村村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村民主要种植毛竹、生姜、油茶和茶叶，部分人家养殖鸡、鸭、兔。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，龙坑村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
