下沙畲族村位于宁化县城北郊，离县城约11公里，是中沙乡的南大门，省道205线由南向北穿村而过[1]。村中畲族雷氏后裔约占全村的三分之一[2]。

姓氏宗族[edit]

名胜古迹[edit]

清代理学家雷鋐的墓，以及村中的「雷甫八大冢」遗迹，都保存在村里[2]。雷鋐生于1696年，卒于1760年，百度百科记其生于宁化城关[3]。

荣誉[edit]

2003年，村庄被批准为民族村。2017年3月，国家民委将其命名为第二批中国少数民族特色村寨[1]。2020年12月，村庄被确定为福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村，同月入选2019年度福建省「一村一品」示范村名单，产品为茶薪菇[1]。2021年11月，福建省爱卫办将其命名为2021年福建省卫生村[1]。
