五星村位于淮土镇，1957年村子所辖五个村曾合组为一个高级社，因而取名「五星」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1921年以前，村子属石城县横江区。1933年属民国时期的一个保，为革命老区之一。[1]

1951年一度另设乡，1957年并入凤山乡；1958年划入凤山公社，成为五星连。1961年才有五星大队的名称，1966年改隶淮土公社，1984年才归淮土乡，设立村民委员会。[1]
