立新村位于嵩口镇东南方向，距镇区4公里，是一个整体移民村，村中有立新、细坑两个自然村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村名取“立志除旧、创新立村”之意。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

20世纪70年代初，因安砂水电站建设，村民从沙芜一带迁入此地，成为整体移民村。博雅地名网的村情条目称迁入时间为1972年，历史沿革条目则称1974年。[1][3]

1974年，立新大队在嵩口公社的土公岭新建；1984年设立新村并成立村民委员会。[3]

2020年12月，村获「2019年度福建省“一村一品”示范村（苗木）」称号；福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2024年7月，又获「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」称号。[1]

经济[edit]

耕地和山林人均都不多，村里便转向苗木种植。多家苗木合作社培育的造林苗木有木荷、湿地松、杜英等，绿化苗木则有红豆杉、罗汉松等。[1][4]
