桂林村位于盖洋镇中部，沿交战公路分布，距镇区14公里、距明溪县城13公里[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名原指竹木成林。旧时写作“贵林”，后因“贵”与“桂”同音，为美化地名改称“桂林”[1]。

1983年设盖洋区桂林乡人民政府，1987年起称盖洋镇桂林村民委员会，此后沿用[1]。2024年1月，桂林村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」[1]。

经济[edit]

桂林西瓜是获评省市「一村一品」示范的项目之一[2]。2022年12月，省农业农村厅把桂林村列为「2022年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」（西瓜）[1]。
