龙坑村位于洞天岩水库库区北侧，距城区7公里。村子东面与大洲村相邻，南面与垄东村相邻，西面与三姑村相邻，北面与富口镇岩地村交界。村域面积约8.42平方千米（尚未勘界发证确权），村庄为一小盆地，海拔319米。[1]

村名的来历是：此地地势较低，地形像龙，因而得名。[2]

村内辖4个村民小组，没有自然村落。人口较多的姓氏有陈、魏、黄、连。[1]

民俗与历史[edit]

村口的太保庙建于清朝末年，每年办两次庙会，分别在三月初三和五月二十五。村寨顶曾是红军驻扎过的地方。[1]
