大洲村位于凤岗街道西部，在沙溪北岸，村域从西南的怡山一直延伸到北面的淘金山一带。东南与垄东村相连，西郊村和西门村与之接壤。全村土地总面积5平方千米，其中国有及公用地约占1.71平方千米。[1][2]

村名来自村前沙溪河中的一大片沙洲。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

大洲村于1995年设立村级建制，此后地名一直沿用。[2]

农业[edit]

村内是省级无公害农产品基地，也是全县蔬菜的主要产区。葱、莴苣、芹菜、空心菜四个品种获得国家级「无公害蔬菜」品牌。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的淘金山属省级风景名胜区，此外还有大洲古渡、景福堂（观音庙）和大圣庙。宋代理学四贤之一罗从彦的祠堂（纪念馆）也在村中。[1]
