城东村是城关街道的建制村，位于三元区新市南路一带，属城区繁华地段，是一个城中村。因地处三元城区东边，故以“城东”为名。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

2020年6月，城东乡撤销并入城关街道管辖，城东村随之划归街道。[1][3]

早在1940年，村域归属三元县。1950年，它划归城关镇管辖。1958年实行人民公社化后，改由城东公社管辖，并设立城东大队。1983年，城东办事处成立并下设城东村；1987年，办事处又改称城东乡，村则改设村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村集体收入主要来自房屋和店面出租，并通过盘活土地资源增加收益。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。同年7月，村又先后被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，并被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
