石头村位于礼泉半岛，距东庄镇约4公里。村名指村中多石头的地貌。村中有一座妈祖庙，始建于北宋。[1]

石头村因村中多石而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，此地称石头大队。1984年10月，大队转为村，归莆田县东庄乡。1988年划入秀屿镇，1994年迁地建村，2000年归东庄镇，2002年归秀屿区。[1]

文化[edit]

村中的妈祖庙始建于北宋雍熙四年（987年）。近代由老人和董事会组织重建修补，现有舞台、戏院等文娱场所，供村民健身、聚会。[1]
