村子处在南安坡下游，周边有前面、新前、石东、东楼几个村，另接赤港农场。村落面积逾三平方公里。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村名因五个自然村合并而来。全村下辖下、下墩、顶墩、吴墩、油墩五个自然村，设13个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧时村地分属东吴保与东吴乡等基层单位，并在石庭乡东吴高级社中合并组织。1958年为东吴大队，1965年定名五星大队，1984年底设立五星村委会。[2]

2022年12月，村子获评「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
