井头社区位于凤翔街道西南部，辖井头、后寮两个自然村，境内有清代武官林君升的墓葬。[1]

地名由来[edit]

旧时村旁有一口大井，村名据此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1943年归侯牧乡井头保，1950年改称麟凤乡。1959年划归马巷公社仁凤大队，1961年分设井头大队，属渔业公社；1964年改隶东坑公社，1969年回马巷公社。1984年改为后滨乡井头村委会，1987年并入马巷镇。1997年划入同安区，2003年改隶翔安区，2006年6月改制为社区。[1]

文物古迹[edit]

林君升墓，博雅地名网称其为县级文物保护单位；境内另有后寮宫等古迹。[1]

名人故里[edit]

清乾隆年间的江南提督林君升，与嘉庆年间的大理寺右寺丞林植，都以此地为故里。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
