前村位于福清市海口镇，村址旧在海口古镇东卫城的南面。村子起初叫东村，后改为现名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这里属感德乡新安里，元代仍旧。明代改归西隅新安里，直到清末宣统二年（1910年）才划入海口镇。1943年前村保成立，分为八甲，依旧隶属海口镇。1950年这里归第二区的城里乡管辖，1956年重新回到海口镇，1959年另设前村大队，1984年改为村委会。[1]
