龙东村是龙山街道下辖的行政村，属主城区。村名由「龙山」与「西东」两个旧村各取一字合成。[1][2]

名称由来[edit]

村后的覆船山形如游龙，村位于山的东侧，旧称「龙山境」，后并入村名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代隶属太平乡永东里，明代归东隅永东里图1管辖。1910年仍为永东乡；1943年村中设东刘保、龙山保，属利桥乡。[1]

1950年改属石井乡；1958年起归城关公社玉峰大队。1961年，龙东从玉峰分出设大队，并入音西公社。1984年改为村委会，2005年12月属龙山街道。[1][2]
