西塘村是东洋乡下辖的行政村，位于乡境西北部，县道穿村而过，西与长庆镇交界。下设后限、前西塘、里西塘三个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名与开村祖「黄西裳」有关，「裳」与「塘」方言读音相近，故称西塘。[1]

清代此地属和平乡保德里三十都。公社化后，西塘先隶东洋管理区，再编入东洋人民公社，设为西塘生产大队；1984年改称西塘村委会，隶属东洋乡。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中有一座石拱木亭桥，建于清初，乾隆四十九年（1784年）重修。桥址在东霞公路西塘桥下方约300米处。木亭后遭火焚，只余石拱桥；1999年12月另建混凝土钢筋的桥亭加以保护。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予西塘村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
