东坡村位于嵩口镇北部，离镇政府约3公里。全村面积12平方千米，分阔濑、东坡两个自然村，村民小组共27个。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：早期祖先在东面的山坡上拓居，故名东坡。清代属和平乡英达里三十三都。1950年至1952年间设三区东坡乡，1955年改称嵩口区东坡乡。1961年，此地是嵩口人民公社的东坡生产大队；1984年，它改置为嵩口镇东坡村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内是陈埔祖祠所在地，村中的安前宫与锦屏山仙妈宫是历史较久的建筑。[1]

经济[edit]

村中特产有甘蔗、李果、青梅等。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年12月，东坡村获评「2022年福建省卫生村」，评定单位是福建省爱国卫生运动委员会。[1]
