桂林村是福建省福州市罗源县起步镇下辖的行政村[3]。村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载，是村中原建有伽蓝菩萨庙，庙名“伽蓝”经方言谐音演变为“桂林”[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1950年，此地设桂林乡，属一区；1955年改属岐余区；1958年撤区设社，村另立桂林大队，归起步公社；1961年区建制恢复，改属起步区；1965年区建制再次撤销，村仍归起步公社[1][2]。

“文革”期间大队由革命委员会主持；1983年起恢复管委会名称，1984年建为村委会[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2020年6月，桂林村被确定为「罗源县第四轮第一批（2019年）“平安村（社区）”」[1]。

桂林村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号[1]。

2022年12月，桂林村被确定为「2022年度福州市中级版“绿盈乡村”」[1]。
