潭头村是潭头镇下辖的行政村，北邻福星村，西邻文溪村，南邻大宏村，东邻菊潭村。全村辖7个自然村，即潭头、上下潭头港、上下坪上、闸兜与港口。[1][2]

村子水陆交通便利，是长乐的重要港口之一，村中有不少侨胞。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初，潭头村与菊潭、霞江、福星、文石同属一个乡。此后福星、霞江于1968年分立村委会，菊潭、文石于1987年分立，潭头村则称潭头村委会，沿用至今。[3]

地理与建筑[edit]

村子旧属芳桂乡方安里菊潭境。村中的荣菊庵、毓麟宫、广聚堂等庵、宫、堂、庙保存至今。[2]

人物[edit]

明代进士刘沂春曾任浙江乌程知县，著有《珑洞集》《出云岩集》，并参修过《长乐县志（崇祯版）》。[2]
