湖东村是蜀山街道下辖的行政村，位于街道西侧，与白湖农场接壤，辖区内有12个自然村。据2022年的村情，村辖人口3962人，耕地3217亩。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村庄位于湘湖东面，因而得名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年5月后，此地归石岩乡。合作化时期设有6个农业社，以中连为首；1957年8月并为湘湖农业社。公社化后这里设湘湖大队，1961年改为大队管委会。[2]

1981年改称湖东大队，先后隶属城南公社与石岩公社。[2]

农业[edit]

村内主要种植水稻，另产棉花、茶叶与荸荠。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，湖东村入选「2020年浙江省卫生村」名单。2022年10月，湖东村列入「2022年淘宝村」名单。[2]
