东新街道是浙江省杭州市拱墅区下辖的街道，位于拱墅区东北部，总面积7.3平方千米。[3]街道名称来自境内的古东新关。[1]1985年3月改称东新街道，2004年撤镇建街后沿用此名。[2]截至2020年6月，街道下辖16个社区。[3]街道的邮编为310004。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

宋至清代，此地属仁和县太平乡；民国时分属杭县与杭州市第六区。建国初隶属杭县与杭州市艮山区，1956年撤销艮山区，改设东新乡，乡名取自境内的古东新关。[1][2]1958年，此地成为笕桥公社东新管理区；1960年2月改归江干区。[2]1969年9月起归郊区管辖，1977年划入西湖区，1983年10月改属半山区。[2]

1985年3月，此地正式定名为东新街道。[2]此后1990年改属拱墅区，1996年转归下城区。[2]1999年7月，石桥乡并入东新街道，合称石桥镇。[2]2004年撤镇建街，重新称东新街道。[2]2021年3月的行政区划调整，将原下城区与拱墅区合并为新的拱墅区，东新街道因此属新拱墅区。[2][3]

地理环境[edit]

街道西侧以上塘河为界，与大关、上塘两街道相隔；北面和东北面与石桥街道相邻，东南方向与上城区笕桥街道接壤，南面连接文晖街道。[3]

街道内有杭州市创新创业新天地。[5]
