塘南社区位于浙江省杭州市拱墅区朝晖街道境内，东起河东路，南靠应家河，西邻古运河，北至潮王路[1]。社区占地约0.29平方千米，常住人口11740多人[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

上塘河是运河的一条分支，河边一村分为南北两部分，南部称上塘南村，北部称上塘北村，后又简称塘南塘北，社区名称由此而来[1]。

2001年1月，塘北、叶青兜两个居民区合并组建塘北社区；2002年2月，塘南、塘二两个居民区合并组建塘南社区[1]。
