桥西社区位于京杭大运河边、拱宸桥西侧，2001年4月设立，由原桥西、二司殿两个居民区合并而成。社区东面临运河，西面到小河路，南面自惠安桥起，北面到轻纺桥为止，占地面积0.75平方千米。[1]

历史街区与文化[edit]

社区居民仍过着传统街巷里弄、传统合院的生活，桥西历史保护街区即在桥西地块。[1][2]

街区里有中国刀剪剑、伞、扇三大博物馆，另有中国杭州工艺美术博物馆和手工艺活态展示馆。[1]

社区内开设有「方回春堂」「天禄堂」「大运河国医馆」，以及「桥西中医药特色社区卫生服务分中心」，桥西直街因此成为中医药养生保健特色街。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

拱宸桥和张大仙庙等文保景点位于社区范围内，吸引了各方游客。[1][2][3]

居民与荣誉[edit]

社区居住着2520名户籍人口，分布在878户中；80岁以上老人133人。另有930人纳入社会化管理。社区党委设6个支部，有党员151名。[1]

社区打造了「金钥匙快乐工作站」，开展非遗项目兴趣班、「快乐星期六」主题实践活动和国学大讲堂。社区先后被评为「杭州市五星级公共服务工作站」「杭州市城市基层体育工作三星级社区」。[1]
