地名由来[edit]
从登云镇府所在地前往双桥，要先后经过细桥和东山上的双桥两座桥，村因此得名。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
1951年归双桥乡所辖；1957年废区设乡，划为双桥管区，1958年组建双桥大队。1978年公社拆分为三个，双桥仍归大队建制。1983年登云公社改为区，双桥乡政府随之设立；1986年换成村委会，1989年称双桥管理区，1999年又设村委会，此后未变。[2]
党建与服务[edit]
2025年，双桥村党群服务中心整体搬迁，新址设有便民服务大厅、党员活动室、议事协商室和文体活动区，服务设施较原址更为完善。[4]
2024年，双桥村党总支升格为村党委。[5]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，双桥村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
