中东村是广东省梅州市平远县石正镇的行政村，在镇的中部偏南，下设9个村民小组，登记489户、2006人，总面积3.04平方公里，耕地约1116亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
名称来历：民国时实行保甲制，这里设中心保；建国初称中心村，土地改革时按方位分为中东、中心两村，因在中心村东部而得名中东。[2]
1953年中东、马山、潭头三村合组中东乡，1958年改称大队；1983年又拆成马山、潭头、中东三个小乡，1987年中东成立村民委员会，1989年改设管理区，1999年4月再设村民委员会。[3]
经济[edit]
主要种植优质水稻，辅以外出务工收入。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年4月，中东村名列「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2026年3月被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
