红南村是广东省梅州市梅县区石扇镇的行政村，原属巴庄，文革后期分出设红南大队。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村旧名南福村，民国初年改称南瑞村，后因地处山嶂之南、溪水南流，又是革命根据地老区，改称红南村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明代属程乡县龟浆都石扇村，清代属程乡县石扇堡巴庄村，建国初属石扇区巴庄乡；1958年蕉梅合县时属新铺公社巴庄大队，1961年分县后属石扇公社巴庄大队。到文革后期，红南才自巴庄大队分出，另设大队；1988年随石扇建镇属石扇镇，1989年为管理区，1999年改村民委员会。[1]
