历史沿革[edit]
一区在1951年12月设菱角塘乡，1958年成为菱角塘大队，1984年划入王坪乡，1987年起设村民委员会，1999年5月才改用现在的写法。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
廖金凤墓在丫髻山白坟地，2008年列入「第五批广东省文物保护单位」。墓内碑文记载它始建于元代，明弘治九年（公元1496年）曾重修，墓主是元代的廖金凤。墓朝东南，占地约224平方米，由墓堂、拜桌、月池三级组成，以花岗石和青砖砌筑；中央碑亭是重檐歇山顶的楼阁式，台基上刻有狮、马、羊、鼠等浮雕。[1][2]
经济[edit]
2020年8月入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，特色产品为丝苗米；2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
