当地说法是，这里靠近江边，水运方便，周围三县的商人聚来做买卖，其中多姓苏，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年建苏村公社，1963年公社撤销、改为苏村乡，1984年又改作苏村圩，1987年才有苏村社区居民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2022年9月，被评为惠州市2022年度绿色社区。[1]
