马房村是四会市大沙镇的行政村，在北江马房河段旁，以河鲜饮食出名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
地名的来历，据博雅地名网所载：清顺治元年（1644年）平南王南下作战，在南津口（绥江汇入北江之处）边上盖起养马的棚圈，时人便称此地为马房；后来这里适合农牧，才有人迁来居住。[1]此后行政建制的变化是：1952年设马房乡，1962年为马房大队，1989年成管理区，1998年成立村民委员会。[1]
