新宁社区是广东省肇庆市封开县平凤镇的居民委员会，驻凤村圩，也就是镇政府所在地，共分23个村民小组，约3000人，占地约7.6平方公里，水田2643亩，山林3600多亩。[1]社区位于丘陵地带，近年多种砂糖桔。[1]到县城26公里，到郁南县都城镇13公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
名称取义于解放后百姓进入新的安宁生活。[1][2]解放初这里属第四区新宁乡；合作化时称新宁三八社；人民公社时期的1958年，辖地分成旧村、起凤、刘村、东华四个大队，六年后并作一个，到1987年成了村委会，2002年再因镇政府驻此而转为居委会。[1][3]
名胜古迹[edit]
旧村北帝庙在社区的旧村，建于明代，占地不到170平方米，2022年7月进入广东省人民政府公布的第十批省级文物保护单位名录。[1][4]庙内有刻着成化二十一年（1485年）字样的明代瓦片。[4]
