青平是青平镇政府所在的社区，设在原青平圩上，东邻横坑村，南邻花平水村，西邻横桠埇村，北邻六旺村[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
社区驻地原是青平圩。圩起初叫昇平圩，有盛世太平之意；清朝取代明朝后改名清平圩，后人图书写方便，写作青平圩，社区因此得名[1]。
这里1957年起是青平居民副业大队，其后依次改称青平乡（1983年）、居委会（1986年）、管理区（1989年），2010年定为社区居委会[1]。
人口民族[edit]
据博雅地名网，社区总面积2平方千米，有1520户8190人，耕地约3.73平方千米，种水稻、花生；2016年人均年收入5600元。社区内有完全中学3所、完全小学和幼儿园各1所、卫生院1所[1]。
文化[edit]
2019年9月，青平社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」[1]。
