历史沿革[edit]
1958至1983年称沙土生产大队，1984至1986年改为沙土乡，1986年建村委会，1989至1998年称沙土管理区，1999年起为沙土村民委员会。[2]
概况[edit]
据百度百科，村域面积2平方公里，有238多户、968人，境内为沙质土，故名沙土。村民靠海水养殖、种番薯和花生以及外出务工谋生，养殖的有对虾、石斑鱼等；近年重点发展肉牛养殖，修了一条长670米的“牛路”并建起集中养殖棚区，另有一处泰国红椰林项目在建。村党支部曾被定为软弱涣散党组织，2025年整顿后摘帽。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年1月，获湛江市2020年度「全市文明村」；2023年5月，沙土上村、沙土下村获2022年广东省卫生村称号。[2]
