历史沿革[edit]
1958年立塘口大队；1984年后海大队并入，合称塘口乡；1986年分出，设塘口村委会；1991年设管理区；1998年起为塘口村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
获评湛江市2020年度全市文明村（2021年1月公布名单）；2023年5月公布的2022年度广东省卫生村名单中，有辖内的后村仔村、北村仔村、张宅村、后坡村、北塘口村。[1]
