1987年，桥南从下桥大队分出，另设村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，桥南村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2023年5月，所属的石埚下村、石埚上村、北山村获2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
