1966年这里建起生产队，当时叫下桥居民组；2002年改设下桥社区居民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，下桥社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2023年5月，社区内的下桥居民小组获2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
